The Sunny Shack Business CardsMarch 5th, 2010

Trevor at The Sunny Shack has had some business cards printed up. We did them at a reduced height, which I am totally in love with at the moment.

The Sunny Shack have set themselves up with an online shop so you can buy their amazingly priced, authentic sunnies outside of eBay now. Check it out here: Sunny Shack Website

*I’ve removed some of the details to protect Trevor’s privacy.

QOE – Business Card DesignFebruary 16th, 2010

Rosanne Dowland Design is releasing another range of amazing products. If you are a wholesaler, you can check them out AGHA fair 27 of February through to 3rd of March. The clothing is all really easy to wear and the accessories are to die for (the necklaces – wow!)

There’s no info online yet – but if you are interested in finding out stockists etc, hit me up in the second week of March.

Loyalty Card DesignsNovember 17th, 2009

I’m lucky enough to freelance to a very cool company based in Subiaco which has lots of different projects running. Retail is really growing and a shop is being built and designed for the Claremont Quarter. The stock going into this shop is swoon-worthy. Not long until it opens now – and all the stationery is getting printed up and will be ready to go in time for the big launch! Loyalty cards will be delivered next week. Stay tuned for information of the store opening.

You definately need to go check it out (or pop past Get in the Forrest – which is open now). They are both the kind of place you can go in and get ALL your Xmas shopping done in one day (especially for the ladies in the family).

My Sister – the Makeup artist.September 2nd, 2009

My sister Lauren is a fully qualified make up artist. She’s very very good – did all the makeup for my wedding despite being in the bridal party herself (and being only 16!!). Email me if you want to see some pics!

She has taken advantage of the super special running on business cards at the moment. 250 units delivered to her for $25!

It’s based on this doll she made at school which I thought was sickeningly cute.
We’ll be rebranding her business early next year but for the moment I think it’s fun.

Business Cards – Stock Weight.July 30th, 2009

I admit – in the beginning I was the type that would clap my hands at the sight of a $30 for 1000 card quote. You can sometimes fluke a fantastic deal – but in my experience it’s not worth the risk.

Scuffing prints – folded corners – curling cards.  Bleh.

I’ve seen some cards on stock as low as 280gsm. 310gsm is an absolute minimum. It’ll be around 30% more in most cases to upgrade to 350gsm. If you have the budget.. absolutely do it!! It is completely worth it. They feel so amazingly better in quality. I haven’t seen any 350gsm cards that have curled yet. How I love them so!!
In saying that – there are some great deals around on 310gsm stock – which provides a brilliant option for those who are a little more budget conscious.
